Are your units glue-less?
Yes. Our units can be worn glue-less.
Please refer to the sizing measurement chart located on the website under the measurements tab. I have also linked a YouTube video to help with your measurements. Custom Crowns Collection LLC is NOT responsible for any improperly fit units if you failed to send in your correct head measurement size.
How long will the unit last?
The longevity of your unit purely depends on you, your lifestyle, and how well you care for it. Your unit is a carefully machine/hand-crafted art piece that has been made with the highest quality. As long as you care for your unit it will take care of you. At most, your lace will need to be replaced every so often. This time frame will depend on how you care for your wig and how often you wear it. We encourage you to take advantage of our unit maintenance to ensure your unit lasts.
Are your units beginner-friendly?
Custom Crowns Collection only offers lace closure units. They can easily be installed in minutes at home! Since closures have a smaller parting space, they require little maintenance.
What is the difference between a 4x4 and 5x5 closure?
A 4x4 provides 4" parting of space; 5x5 provides 5" of parting space.
Do you have ready-to-ship units?
Ready-to-ship units can be found on the website under Ready-to-ship. These are units shipped on the next business day after purchase. Please read the description of each unit before purchasing, as sales are final. We encourage you to choose a unit based on your circumference for a more comfortable fit. One size does not fit all!
Do you make frontal units?
At this time, frontal units are not offered.
When will I receive my order?
The turnaround time frame for custom orders is 10-20 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Ready to ship units ship on the next business day after purchase.
How long is shipping?
Standard shipping is 2-7 business days. Please understand, packages may be delayed due to COVID-19. We are not responsible for your order once your package is received by the carrier. For any inconvenience, please contact USPS Custom Care Center at 800-275-8777 for more information on your package.
Do you offer custom color?
At this time, custom color services are not offered.
How often should I wash my unit?
We recommend washing your unit with shampoo whenever you feel that it is weighed down with product or excessive heat styling. Otherwise, it is best to co-wash when your unit needs to be cleaned.
What is co-washing?
Co-washing is essentially a superficial cleaning, leaving the majority of oils behind while removing dirt and styling products that stay on the surface. It is a great cleansing regimen for extensions because it cleans while leaving behind the nutrients that make the hair luscious and flowy.
What products should I use on my unit?
We recommend Dove Intense Repair Shampoo& Conditioner, Aussie Moist shampoo & Conditioner, TRESemme Moisture Rich Smooth & Silky conditioners. Serum & Heat Protectant: Biosilk Silk Therapy (Original) or Beyond the Zone Heat Protectant.
Does the hair shed?
Minimally. You will find that all hair extensions shed a little (just like the natural hair on your head). A little bit of shedding is nothing to be concerned about, especially with curly textures. What you do not want is excessive shedding.
